Im baaaack!

Ok, wow its been a while eh?

Well to start things off, now faith was awesome. I enjoy it more and more each year. But when I got home, I felt really tired and a bit sick, so you know, nothing out of the ordinary, just gave myself a day to get over it and give myself a rest, but it wouldnt go away, and Id developed a nasty cough.

Sos after 5 days of doing nothing but lieing down coughing and feeling sick, my mum decides to take me to the doctors. The doctor listens to my chest for a bit, and tells me she wants to give me some pills, and send me for a chest xray at the hospital. Nothing serious, she just wants to get it checked out.
So we go over to the hospital which is miles away and the car park costs loads, get the xray done nice and fast and the person in the xray lab says she cant look at it because shes not trained for it so its up to me whether or not to go to the A&E to get it looked at. We risk it, and dont have to wait very long there either which was great. Anyway, when we get into the office the girl gets it up on screen, and I dont see anything wrong, just looks like a chest to me. Anyway some big guy comes in and says ohh looks like pneumonia...
I thought he was joking cos I thought pneumonia was a big serious thing. Anyway my mum agreed with him and he had to wait outside another office, this time for an hour. So this other doctor looks at it, says it is pneumonia in the bottom of my right lung and I should be admitted. She gets out this massive needle and sticks it in my elbow. Didnt hurt too much, but then she had to put one in my artery in my wrist, which took about 15 attempts... agony.
I finally got admitted after having a few other needles stuck in my arms, and I get this bed in a room with 3 old guys. One guy was 99 years old, one guy was just waiting to see the doctor to go home and ended up waiting for 15 hours, and the other guy got thrown out for being too loud.
Lots of blood pressure tests and more needles later and I can go home. Two nights in the hospital and its all over. Im still a little bit tired but it'll wear off in the next few days.

Back to the design side of this blog and I have a box project for university going which Ill tell you more about when I know what Im doing, and a tshirt design involved pot noodles. Heres the sketch, i'll show you more in a few days.

Away for a week!

Ok, well since Im going camping for a week I thought Id leave you with what I want my guitar to look like when Im finally done with it. Im going camping in staffordshire for now faith 08, which is basically where all the churches from all over the country that are within our err, group? I dont know, anyway all the churches from all over the country go and camp out at this place and have a great time meeting everyone from all over. Lots of barbeques, lots of football, late night poker (I hope to win this year, was pretty disappointed at my 5th place last year) and just having a generally great time.
Currently Ive sanded down the rough patches on my guitar and I need to buy some more paint to go over them and then Ill need some black paint for the neck. Im not sure about whether to have a white or black head, but I like the black neck atleast. Hopefully in the future when I get some more money I can really customise it with different tuners and machineheads (The bits that control the volume and tone, and the bits you tighten the strings with)

The finished skull!

Ok, so the skull has been finished, and I stuck it up for voting at emptees, and I got 5 loves! Basically, a love is where someone who is viewing your shirt can click this little button and says they love your shirt, and although 5 isnt many, especially compared to the most loved shirt which has near 200, its the most Ive ever gotten on a shirt lol. So here's what it ended up with.
I wasnt sure about the final colours, but Im really liking having cmyk on my shirts so if the skull was a natural colour, it had to be on a black shirt.

My guitar came along nicely too, I sprayed it yesterday, and for only my 2nd time spray painting something it came out very nice. I did the back of the body first, and then left it for just over an hour and flipped it over to do the front, but as I was doing the front I had to do the sides too and the paint ran down the sides and stuck the guitar to the plastic sheet I was doing it on which took a bit of the paint off when I picked it up, but I was always going to do a second or third coat anyway. Check out the pictures!

My first blog!

Yep, thats right. Ive finally gotten myself one of these things... basically here I'll be updating it with things Im drawing right now, things I want to draw, things I want to draw with, people Im working with, people I want to work with and any other kind of random information I think one person out there might be interested in knowing.

So to kick off, I had this idea for a t-shirt for my friends tshirt line Mess up Clothing. You can check these guys out at their myspace, or just go straight to their shop and start spending!

Oh yea, heres the drawing, and Ill get back to you in a few days with how its coming along!

Im also currently in the middle of customising my bass guitar, so Ill keep you guys up to date with that and some pictures. So far Ive just sanded the body down, next I need to sand the neck down and get rid of all the varnish that was on it so I can paint it. Im probably just going to paint it white and then draw on it with a permanent marker, then I may or may not put a coat of varnish on it so it doesnt get wrecked.

Bye for now
